Teeth Whitening in Austin
Store-bought strips whiten a shade or two. Professional whitening lifts years of coffee, tea, and wine — safely, evenly, and with your sensitivity managed by a dentist.
What happens at your visit
-
We check your teeth first — whitening works best on a clean, healthy smile.
-
You choose: a one-hour in-office session, or custom take-home trays you use for 1–2 weeks.
-
We photograph your starting shade so you can see the real difference.
-
You leave with a desensitizing gel and honest advice on keeping the result.
Does it hurt?
Whitening can cause temporary sensitivity — a short “zing” with cold drinks for a day or two. We use lower-sensitivity gels and give you a desensitizer to take home. It fades quickly.
How long does it take?
In-office: about an hour. Take-home trays: 30 minutes a day for 10–14 days.
What affects the cost
from $399
- In-office whitening costs more than take-home trays but works in one visit.
- Whitening is cosmetic, so insurance doesn’t cover it — we’ll quote the exact price before you decide.
- Existing crowns and fillings don’t whiten; we’ll flag that up front if it affects you.
Starting prices for straightforward cases. Your exact cost depends on your exam — we always quote in writing before treating, and the quote is what you pay.
Questions patients ask us
Will whitening damage my enamel?
No — professional whitening gels are pH-balanced and enamel-safe when supervised by a dentist. The horror stories usually come from overusing strong online products.
