Dental emergency? Don’t wait.

Emergency Dentistry in Austin

Dental pain doesn’t wait, so neither do we. We hold same-day slots for emergencies, and a real person answers our phone during office hours. Call first — we can often talk you through first aid on the spot.

What happens at your visit

  1. Call us. We triage on the phone and get you in — same day whenever humanly possible.

  2. First priority: stop the pain. Numbing, medication, whatever it takes to make you comfortable.

  3. We diagnose with an exam and an X-ray of the affected area only.

  4. You get clear options with prices before we do anything beyond pain relief.

Does it hurt?

Our first job is making the pain stop, not adding to it. The numbing injection is preceded by a topical gel; after that you should feel pressure at most.

How long does it take?

Emergency visits are usually 30–60 minutes. Many problems are fully fixed on the spot; complex cases get pain-free stabilization and a follow-up plan.

What affects the cost

from $120

  • An emergency exam plus the X-ray of the tooth in question is a modest, published flat fee.
  • Treatment cost depends on the fix (filling vs. root canal vs. extraction) — we quote before treating.
  • No insurance? We’ll still see you today and offer payment options.

Starting prices for straightforward cases. Your exact cost depends on your exam — we always quote in writing before treating, and the quote is what you pay.

Questions patients ask us

My tooth got knocked out. What do I do right now?

Pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently — don’t scrub — and put it back in the socket if you can, or keep it in milk. Then call us immediately: a tooth re-implanted within an hour has the best chance of surviving.

Is a toothache ever “wait and see”?

A toothache that wakes you at night, lingers after hot or cold, or comes with swelling needs to be seen now — infections don’t improve on their own. When in doubt, call; the phone triage is free.

What if it happens outside office hours?

Call our main number and follow the voicemail instructions — it lists our after-hours guidance. For facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, go straight to the ER.
