Pediatric Dentistry in Boise

Kids aren’t small adults — they need shorter visits, simpler words, and a team that lets them set the pace. Our goal is a generation of kids who genuinely don’t mind the dentist.

What happens at your visit

  1. First visits are “show and tell”: your child rides the chair, meets the tools, and counts teeth.

  2. Gentle cleanings and fluoride, at whatever speed your child is comfortable with.

  3. Sealants protect the grooves of new molars — quick, painless, and cavity-preventing.

  4. You get honest guidance on thumbs, pacifiers, bottles, and braces timing.

Does it hurt?

Check-ups and cleanings don’t hurt. If a filling is ever needed, we use flavored numbing gel first, kid-friendly language (“sleepy juice”), and plenty of breaks.

How long does it take?

Kids’ visits run about 30–45 minutes — short enough to stay fun.

What affects the cost

  • Most plans cover children’s check-ups, cleanings, and fluoride at 100%.
  • Sealants are inexpensive and often covered for kids under 14.
  • CHIP and most family plans accepted — ask us and we’ll verify before your visit.

Questions patients ask us

When should my child first see a dentist?

By their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth — earlier than most parents expect. Early visits are quick, cheap, and build comfort before anything ever needs fixing.
